PSE Agency has appointed Melissa Shackleton as their new Managing Director, marking the first executive change in the company’s 30-year history.


Founded in 1995 by brothers Phil and Rob Newton, PSE has evolved from a traditional print mail agency into a multi-channel marketing firm. Their data-driven strategies have attracted high-profile clients such as HelloFresh, IKEA, Secret Escapes, and The Wine Society, all of whom consider direct mail a crucial part of their marketing mix.

Melissa Shackleton, previously with Hotel Chocolat, expressed her excitement about joining PSE: “It’s a wonderful time to be joining PSE and the wider team at this pivotal point in their history; a huge testament to their expertise in this fast-paced market.”


Melissa’s client-side experience, particularly in high-growth environments like Hotel Chocolat, positions her uniquely within the market. She plans to enhance PSE’s renowned Six Step Direct Marketing Cycle and strengthen the team to support continued growth.

This leadership change will allow Phil Newton to concentrate on business operations and Rob Newton to focus on nurturing client relationships.
